On 31 March 2025 at 2:00pm, the first Board of Director meeting on work progress and financial report in the first quarter was held under the highest presiding of H.E. Dr. Hang chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports at the National University of Battambang. During this invaluable occasion, after listening to comprehensive progress and financial reports delivered by H.E Rector of NUBB, H.E. Dr. Hang chuon Naron highly appraised substantial outcomes and progress and H.E Sok Khorn, Rector of NUBB, management, officials, staff and academic staff of NUBB for committedly and actively implementing the reform plan, becoming the Public Administrative Institution in line with the RGC’s policy, strengthening leadership and management systems, implementing the 10-year strategic plan, promoting research and scholar activities through developing Scientific Journal and NUBB Seed grant, organizing IQA committee and system, conducting tracer study, assigning and evaluating Annual Result agreements, E-Library, NUBB Mobile App, FMIS, Developing new academic programs in the fields of Science, Technology and Agriculture, implementing Outcome-based education and new buildings for supporting students’ academic and research activities. Meanwhile, H.E. Dr. Hang chuon Naron offered some constructive feedbacks for NUBB’s further development, quality enhancement, prestige and responsiveness to socio-economic development, namely 1) Collaborating with experienced local and international HEIs to enhance curriculum, specialized study trip, technology transfer and good standards, and establish ecosystem and scientific advisory board to consult and share experience, 2) Continuously offering Doctorate degree (PhD) by cooperating with quality local or international HEIs to jointly develop Sandwich/joint programs especially in the field of Economics and Law, 3) Cooperate with local and international HEIs, 4) promoting research and publications, 5) conferring professorship for successful researchers, 6) establishing a technical group to study new technology such as AI in education, and 7) developing competency-based training (CBT) for secondary and tertiary levels. This meeting was adjourned with pleasant moment and confidence.
