On March 20, 2025, the Internal Quality Assurance Office of the National University of Battambang organized a training session on the implementation of the Manual on Accreditation of Higher Education for Institution and Program Levels under the co-presidency of His Excellency Sok Khorn, Rector of the National University of Battambang, and His Excellency Dr. Rath Chhang, Secretary-General of the Secretariat General of the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia. This training was instructed by experts from the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia namely H.E Dr. Rath Chhang, Mr. Nint Sophea and Mr. Ham Sohak. This training session is designed to equip technical officers in charge of implementing Educational Programs in Quality Assurance work to ensure that students are provided with qualified educational programs that meet the local, regional, and international job markets.
The objectives of this training include:
1. Explain the purpose, importance, and process of implementing the new standards and indicators at the institution and program levels.
2. Prepare an evaluation plan and tools for collecting and analyzing data from all three categories, including documents, interviews, and observations.
3. Compile information, statistics, data, and supporting evidence for each indicator and standard.
4. Write a Self-Assessment Report (SAR) at the institution and program levels based on the new manual.
In this training session, there are presentations namely (1) Assessment tools and (2) Format for preparing and writing SARs, as well as there are practice exercise on writing SAR and providing feedback on the writing.
