On Sunday, March 2, 2025, the Research and Development Center and the Graduate School of the National University of Battambang organized a defense ceremony for the PhD Research Project in Education Science, specializing in Educational Management (2nd Batch). The event was presided over by Dr. Sam Rany, Vice Rector of the National University of Battambang, as the high representative of H.E. Sok Khon, Rector of the National University of Battambang. The ceremony was attended by the evaluation committee members and an audience of 30 participants.

During the event, five doctoral candidates presented their research proposal topics:

Mr. Bou Da – The Influence of Teacher Educators’ Research Competencies on Student Teachers’ Professional Development in Research

Mr. Phorn Phian – Evaluation of Novice Teachers’ Preparedness and Efficacy in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Primary Schools in Northwest Cambodia

Mr. Hieng Sophon – Effect of Content-Based Instruction (CBI) on Student Teachers’ Critical Thinking and English Grammar Competence

Mr. Kheuy Sinoeurn – The Impact of School-Based Management on School Directors’ Effectiveness: A Case Study of Cambodian Primary Schools

Mr. Chea Sopheaktra – Assessing Instructional Leadership Practices in Enhancing Teaching Competency among Pre-Service Teachers at BTEC
