On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the National University of Battambang organized a launch ceremony for its research fund called “NUBB SEED GRANT” under the high presidency of His Excellency Sok Khorn, Rector of the National University of Battambang. In this regard, His Excellency the Rector emphasized that the National University of Battambang has the ability to provide research funds to its researchers and may extend to students in the future. For this funding initiative, the expected research outcomes are focused on three categories:
(1) research results to support and enhance learning and teaching capabilities
(2) research results linked to labor market demands and socio-economic development
(3) research results linked to market demands and socio-economic development utilized by higher education institutions and industries.
At the same time, the size of the research fund ranges from a minimum of 16 million riel up to a maximum of 40 million riel, which can support research work responding to societal and economic needs. Furthermore, the university give an incentive of 500,000 riel per published research article.
