On the afternoon of Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, the National University of Battambang signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Forte Insurance (Cambodia) Plc. and Forte Life Assurance (Cambodia) Plc. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. MAK Ngoy, Deputy Director General of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports; H.E. BOU Chanphirou, Director General of the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia; H.E. SOK Khorn, Rector of the National University of Battambang; Mr. PROU Sythan, Chief Executive Officer of Forte Life Assurance (Cambodia) Plc.; and Mr. SUY Channtharong, Chief Executive Officer of Forte Insurance (Cambodia) Plc.
During the ceremony, H.E. SOK Khorn presented a report on the progress of the National University of Battambang, highlighting the institution’s strong commitment to collaboration with Forte Insurance and Forte Life Assurance. H.E. NGOY Mak emphasized the importance of the MoU, which reflects the private sector’s contribution to human resource development toward Cambodia Vision 2050.
H.E. BOU Chanphirou underscored the potential areas of collaboration between the parties, including short-term insurance training or incorporating insurance studies into the university’s curriculum with resource support from Forte Insurance. Mr. PROU Sythan and Mr. SUY Channtharong shared insights into their companies’ services and products and expressed their dedication to supporting the university’s initiatives as needed.
The primary goals of this MoU include providing job opportunities, internships, and training courses for students of the National University of Battambang, organizing workshops and lectures featuring national and international speakers, and participating in various university activities.
The signing ceremony was concluded successfully in a productive and joyful atmosphere.
