On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the Faculty of Business Administration and Tourism dispatched 8 students from the Tourism program, led by Mr. Sor Buntha, to conduct a study visit and observe practical implementation at Classy Hotel and Spa in Battambang City. This activity aligns with the academic curriculum and aims to provide firsthand experience in the operations of tourism and hospitality businesses.
During this field study, the students gained knowledge in various areas, including:
- Understanding front office hospitality management in hotels
- Guest reception procedures
- Room preparation and setup, including in-room facilities
- Organizing and equipping meeting and conference rooms
- Arranging hotel restaurants and lighting systems
- Energy management and fire prevention systems in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and restaurants
- Setting up and equipping gym facilities
- Water management systems in different sections of the hotel.
Moreover, after the one-day practical study at the hotel, students gained a clearer understanding and enhanced their skills and knowledge in their specialized areas, complementing the theoretical lessons learned in the classroom.
