On Friday, November 1, 2024, the Faculty of Sociology and Community Development collaborated with EMDR Association Cambodia to organize Mental Health Day under the theme “Understanding Mental Health and Care” under the presidency of Dr. Sam Rany, Vice Rector and high representative of His Excellency Sok Khorn, Rector of the National University of Battambang, at Banon Meeting Room of the National University of Battambang.

This Mental Health Day was attended by professors, staff, officials, students of the National University of Battambang, Battambang Provincial Health Department, and various non-governmental organizations, with the aim to raise awareness about mental health issues to the general public and strengthen knowledge and information about mental health services in Cambodia to the public.
