The NUBB team attended a capacity-building workshop and project meeting from July 15-17, 2024, held at the AIT Conference Center at the Asian Institute of Technology in Pathum Thani, Thailand. This event was part of the “Smart City ASEAN Learning Network” (SCALe) project, co-funded by the European Commission.
The workshop and meeting focused on various aspects of open and distance education and lifelong learning. Key topics included instructional design and content development methodologies, the SCALe Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), and team-based activities for creating courses using the SCALe VLE. Additionally, the sessions covered innovation and entrepreneurship through the EntreCamp – the European Entrepreneurship Competence Framework, design thinking strategies, emerging professions and skills in smart cities, and smart city maturity indexes.
Representatives from SCALe project partners, including HOU, SDR, UTH, AIT, UM, UTM, NUM, EU, ITC, PPIU, UiTM, CMU, and NUBB, participated in this workshop and project meeting. The gathering provided an excellent opportunity for collaborative learning and exchange of best practices in smart city development and education.
