On May 18, 2022, H.E. Sok Khorn, Rector of the National University of Battambang and Co-Board of Directors of the Confucius Institute at the National University of Battambang, presided over the handing over ceremony of the first-generation Chinese language certificates to 22 military trainees and announced the second-generation course at the Confucius Institute of the National University of Battambang.
The ceremony was also attended by H.E. Lt. Gen. EK Samoun, Deputy Commander of the Royal Army and Commander of the 5th Military Region Headquarters, as well as leaders, professors, and some distinguished guests. At this ceremony, the National University of Battambang and the 5th Military Region Headquarters signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on cooperation on Chinese Language Training for 5 years (2022 to 2026).
